No matter what previous generation console you save your Diablo 3 game on, you can transfer that save to the PS4 or Xbox One version of the game when it’s released, Blizzard has revealed. What this means is players will be able to import their saves and characters from any PS3 or Xbox 360, to any PS4 or Xbox One. So you can go from the PS3 to Xbox One, or the Xbox 360 to the PS4.

You will not however be able to swap saves between the PS4 and Xbox One, which would be odd anyway. Why would you have both?

The process to make the transfer involves linking your PSN ID and/or Gamertag to your Battle.net account and an in-game wizard will pretty much do the rest. You do however need the save on your HDD or a USB device.

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition will be released in a few weeks (August 19th) on the current gen consoles, and will feature the standard game from the previous gen, as well as the Reaper of Souls expansion, and all new trophies and achievements.

It has been confirmed that the popular action role playing game will run at true 1080p on the Playstation 4, while only 900p on the Xbox One. Theoretically this could be increased with an update after launch. Both versions also run at 60fps.
